The Bass-Man!

Sasha Tragic!

The youngest of the Tragicov siblings, Sasha likes the symmetry of leaving the guitar chores to his twin siblings while he handles the bass, which is his favorite instrument. A passionate multitasker, he appreciates the way that the bass allows him to contribute to both the melody and the rhythm of a song all at the same time. Sasha is also generally the first member of the group to charge in when some additional odd percussion instrument or other seems called for in a given song. In fact, according to his calculations, he may have played as many of these extra percussion tracks on the album as Steven and Stacy combined…

Among his many bass guitar influences, Sasha would count Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, John Paul Jones of the legendary Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, John McVie of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simonon of The Clash, The Rolling Stones’ Bill Wyman, and the absurdly gifted prog-rock bassists, Geddy Lee of Rush and Chris Squire of Yes.

Like his older siblings, Sasha, too, has a deep love for the occult, although he freely confesses that he can’t quite match their depth of knowledge in this realm. “When I can levitate like Steven, or communicate with animals the way Stacy does, then you’ll know I stopped watching so much TV, and started really studying…” Still, he’s on board for their plan to begin building these interests into their music as they move forward, and he’s already looking eagerly ahead to their next batch of songs!
